In 2019 ZONE’s UK designers set out with the goal to create the best athletic t-shirt available, worldwide. We started with three pillars of value: performance, comfort, and sustainability. We tried and tested over a hundred different blends of fabric all scored across our 3 value pillars.. The result of this long and meticulous process is our very own TRI-TECH™ fabric blend.
TRI-TECH™ is a precise mix of Performance Modal, Combed Cotton and Elastane.
We wanted an athletic shirt that is exceptional in all conditions, that gives you all the support to preform at your best. Modal is great for performance, it has the same breathability and sweat wicking abilities as polyester, while also being water absorbent and highly durable. Combed cotton is versatile like normal cotton but due to the detailed and precise arrangement of fibers it is much more breathable and much more durable. The small amount of elastane gives the fabric blend stretchability for dynamic performance.
There is nothing better than a shirt that glides across your skin, a shirt that is a joy to put on. Modal is wonderfully soft, it is sometimes used in pure form as an alternative for silk. Combed cotton is even softer than normal cotton, carefully woven threads lead to superior comfort. Elastane gives the fabric a comfortable flexibility.
We know how important it is to maintain the beautiful landscape we run. We try our best to do our bit by selecting the most sustainable fabrics. Both cotton and modal are completely natural and biodegradable. Modal being formed from regenerative plants and cotton of course coming from the cotton plant. This makes TRI-TECH a great alternative to the toxic plastic of polyester usually used in performance wear.
